I grew up in a practising artistic family. My mother, Marjorie Bussey, adopts the role of shaman in her artistic work. I have always been surrounded by images evocative of other modalities of seeing-being. I am keen to promote her work as exemplary of alternative ways of negotiating that difficult thing known to us, perhaps mistakenly, as reality. Her work is widely admired and held in many national and international collections. Here is a small selection.
